Xan Shuniski

Xan Shushinsky (20.08.1901-18.03.1979). He continued the traditions of Jabbar Karyaghdy and raised them to a new level. No one could perform the “Karabakh Shikestesi” as beautifully as Khan. He created new forms of performance of mugham. Khan Shushinsky is also the author of several folk-music-style songs. Among these songs are the famous “Shushanin daghlary”, “Menden gen gezme”, “Ay gozel” and others.
