Lütfiyar İmanov

Lutfiyar Imanov started his career in the arts as a teenage actor at the Sabirabad State Drama Theatre.[1] He graduated from the Zeynalli School of Music with a degree in vocal arts in 1957. At the time, he had been working with various Azerbaijani choirs and orchestras. He made his operatic debut in 1957 when he performed in the leading role in Uzeyir Hajibeyov's opera Koroghlu in Moscow. Upon graduating, he accepted a job at the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Musical Comedy before switching in 1959 to the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre where he worked until his death. In 1962, he was admitted to the six-year program in drama studies at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. In 1965 and 1975 respectively, Imanov was an intern at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and La Scala in Milan.[2] From 1968 onward, he performed leading roles in over 30 operas.
Besides performing, he taught vocal arts, mostly at the Azerbaijan State Conservatoire, but also in music schools in Istanbul and İzmir, Turkey (in 1991–95).[3] In the 1990s he toured Iran, Italy and Germany. His performance was recognised by him being awarded the prestigious title of the People's Artist of the Soviet Union in 1977.[4]
In 1980 and 1985, Lutfiyar Imanov was elected to the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan SSR.

1929-cu ildə Sabirabadda doğulub. İlk rolunu 1943-cü ildə Sabirabad Dvlət Musiqi Teatrının səhnəsində "5 manatlıq gəlin" tamaşasında oynayıb. 18 yaşında ilk dram dərnəyini yaradıb. 1957-ci ildə A.Milovanovun sinfində təhsilini bitirib və Dövlət Estrada Orkestrində, daha sonra isə Musiqili Komediya Teatrında işləməyə başlayıb. 1959-cu ildə Moskvada Koroğlu rolunu oynayıb. 1968-ci ildə İncəsənət Universitetini bitirib və bundan sonra 30-dan çox operada baş rolun ifaçısı olub. 1975-ci ildə 6 ay Milanın "La-Skala" teatrında təcrübə keçib. 1991-95-ci illərdə İstambul və İzmir şəhərlərinin opera teatrlarında vokal dərsləri keçib. 1995-ci ildə Füzulinin yubileyi münasibətilə Tehranda keçirilən festivalda, 1996-cı ildə İtaliyada Vivaldinin xatirəsinə həsr edilən konsertdə, Almaniyada "Milleniumun mahnısı" festivalında çıxış edib. "Karmen", "Faust", "Otello", "Trubador", "Aida", "Riqoletto" və s. klassik opera əsərlərində rolllar oynayıb. Hazırda Bakı Musiqi Akademiyasında vokal professoru kimi çalışır. 1980-90-cı illərdə iki dəfə Azərbaycan Ali Sovetinin deputatı olub. Evlidir. İki uşağı var.
